Yet Another Successful Conference!
This year’s event welcomed a host of industry leaders throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico to the mild climate of Palm Springs, California.
Conference Chairman Sam Bell of Metal Surfaces, Inc., welcomed attendees to the event and introduced NASF Board President, Mr. Erik Weyls of Coventya, Inc. who provided an informative update on the continued positive growth and strategic Association initiatives for the upcoming year. NASF’s Christian Richter followed with an overview of the organization’s financial progress in recent years and the outlook for specific projects linked to advocacy, education, events and member engagement. The program also featured keynote presenter Mr. Daniel Feiman, founder of “Build it Backwards”and noted expert in strategic planning, financial modeling, and process improvements. Participants engaged in interactive, thought-provoking discussions and activities as Mr. Feiman helped attendees learn how to identify key business objectives and set the stage for long-term value creation for their organizations.
Following the keynote sessions, Mike Kelly of Asko Processing presented “Contingency Planning: Lessons Learned”, a follow-up from last year’s Management Conference roundtable discussion. His comments focused on his company’s experience after a major fire at his facility and how his organization effectively managed its response at all levels.
Additional social activities throughout the four-day event provided many opportunities for attendees to connect with colleagues and gain new knowledge to help bring their businesses to the next level.
The NASF extends its thanks and congratulations to Conference Chairman Sam Bell, and his wife, Dana who worked closely with the NASF team to field a successful event. Thanks also to the Metal Finishing Association of Southern California (MFASC) for hosting the hospitality suite, and to NASF’s Industry Partners: The Nickel Institute, American Plating Power, LLC, Coventya, Inc., Dynapower Company, GOAD COMPANY, Heatbath Corporation, and KC Jones Plating Company.
Each year, the NASF Management Conference provides an executive forum that emphasizes professional development, learning from experts, sharing of experiences, and networking with peers. Plans are already well underway for the 2016 Management Conference to be held February 28-March 3 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. We encourage you to save the date and visit NASF.org for future developments on speakers, and registration information.
